Salaries for professional athletes should be based on their performance and a reflection of the hard work they put into training. Female athletes put in the same amount of time and effort as men, if not more. For example, Alex Morgan trains twice a day for three to four hours. Her annual salary is $450,000. Cristiano Ronaldo also trains for 3-4 hours everyday. His annual salary is $21 million. They both devote their entire lives to soccer and put in the same amount of work, yet there is an enormous difference in their salaries.
Women athletes also accomplish the same achievements as men, but their pay is significantly less.
