The Women’s Suffrage movement had been going on since the early 1800’s. There was a large movement for the women’s right to vote that lasted 72 years. The struggle went on from 1848 after the Seneca Falls Convention to the passage of the nineteenth amendment which gave the women of the US the right to vote in political elections.
