California and Texas two different states with outstanding personalities that have a unique environment idea towards its government. California thinks more of how successful it can be as how Texas try to try its best towards auto regulations. In the textbook Lone Star Politics it states, “California has enacted the most restrictive standards regarding the gases coming out of the exhausted pipes on cars, trucks, and other automobiles “(Collier, Galatas, Harrelson
483) It explains on its major auto regulation showing how California takes it to limits towards consuming gas on its automobiles. In the other hand the textbook also states, “Texas in contrast, maintains little state legislation above and beyond the minimum standards established by the United States government.” (Collier, Galatas, Harrelson 483) From both states California cares oh how much it is consume in having limits as Texas cares, but doesn’t pay attention towards its auto regulations.

In the textbook it states, “one of the few requirements in Texas is the imposition of annual auto emission standards in metropolitan areas such as Houston that have constantly high levels of air pollution linked to automobiles”. (Collier, Galatas, Harrelson 483) The federal government of course should regulate our environment in order to have a clean air to its citizens. Having requirements make a great step in which it should be a specific and non-specific regulations on automobiles towards pollution. From one state to another state it should have different requirements, but same goal.
