Belief
The shamanic philosophy recognizes that there is a spiritual world as well as a physical one, and that all physical things have a spirit. It is therefore an example of an animistic philosophy; the belief that natural objects have souls that may exist apart from their physical bodies.
Ritual
An important part of a shamanic ritual is the preparation of the sacred place, drum, shaman's costume, special curative clothes, and ritual objects when performing one. Shaman’s have rituals for many occasions such as the healing of a disease.
Symbol
This healing symbol is used by shamans to access a stream of consciousness that is love, the force that draws one back to the source.
Festival
The Shaman Festival in Tongren (Repkong) is a large-scale sacrificial performance activity in the local Tibetan and the Tu villages in Repkong area, which is held annually between June 17th and 25th of the lunar calendar. The June festival includes activities such as, offering sacrifices to deities, inviting deities, welcoming deities, dancing for deities, and above all, enjoying the unique military dancing
