Weight classes are basically just the weight in which you wrestle, whether that is being a lightweight, middleweight, or heavyweight. I remember there being fourteen different weight classes in high school, which meant for there to be a full team there had to be at least fourteen people. The wrestlers known as lightweights were the wrestlers that were anywhere from one hundred six(or lighter) to one hundred thirty pounds. The middle weights were anywhere from one hundred thirty-five to one hundred eighty pounds. The heavyweights my team called the big boys because they were the ones that weighed heavier than one hundred eighty pounds, but had to weigh under two hundred eighty pounds to be allowed to wrestle. Similar to all high school sports the wrestling team had a junior varsity team and a varsity team. Of course the varsity team is the better team and the team everyone wanted to be on, but it was not easy to get on it. To get on the varsity team from the junior varsity team, you had to challenge the person on varsity at the weight class you wanted. Challenging someone means you wrestle that person like if it was a real match. The winner got the varsity spot the loser went down to the junior varsity spot.

It is called the head and arm because that is the part of the opponent you must have to throw them. There are other throws I have seen, but none that i know what they are called or what other teams call it because I never practiced it.
Ground game referred to wrestling on the mat or not standing. The main goal in wrestling is to pin the opponent, which means getting both shoulders flat on the mat. There are positions for starting off ground game, if you start the round on the bottom. If starting on bottom you must be in the referees position, which is hands and knees must be on the mat at a certain distance apart. The other person is known as the top man, which is the one that starts off with control. Having control means he has control of the bottom person, or in other words the bottom person cannot easily escape and stand
