The biggest issue is most vacation drivers are unfamiliar with the roads they are driving on. Which can lead to unexpected stops or turns, resulting in fender benders. The summer heat can also affect your tires, which causes the air in your tires to expand, which leads to a blow out.
The two most threatening things during winter driving are ice and black ice. These surfaces prevents your tires from getting the traction needed to stay on the road, making stopping and steering very difficult. Black ice is the most dangerous out of the two, because it's almost invisible to the eye. Black ice can be shiny or matte, so the driver usually doesn't know they've hit it until they're spinning out of control. To conclude, both of the seasons come with their own set of challenges.
