Sexual assault and stalking are two main things that victims have to deal with. Sexual assault is any kind of sexual activity with anyone who is not in a position to give informed consent. This includes rape, attempted rape, sexual harassment, obscene gestures or phone calls, and sexual activity with a minor, whether penetration occurs or not. Stalking is unwanted and repeated contact from another person. Intentional, malicious, repeated following or harassing behavior that causes the victim to fear for his or her personal safety. Extreme jealousy, a bad temper, controlling behavior, verbal abuse, controlling on what the victim wears and how they act. Most of the time they are alcohol and drug abusers (which makes it 10 times worse). I know for a fact that if a person is drunk or using drugs, causes more harm them being sober. During the summer I was always this one of my cousins. We were at my uncle’s house and he had been drinking and had done cocaine an hour before we arrived. My uncle was so mad that we had gotten home late and he got up in my cousin’s face. He was about to hit her but I pushed him onto his bed and told my cousin to run out of the house and leave. It was so hard to control my uncle but I managed to do it. That was one of the scariest things I have ever seen.
