Research shows that Mexico has never been this violent before, which to me suggests that there must be a reason behind the excessive violence occurring in Mexico. The victim’s parents indicate that they believe the murder of their young daughter has something to do with gang violence, which I think is plausible. I say this because a motive for killers of Mexico could be due to drugs, and violent gangs taking over the neighborhoods and cities. Since research shows that drug violence has escalated in Mexico and laws have been collapsing, gangs are more likely to take over control and feed violence within a culture (Rama & Diaz, …show more content…
