To me, each sea creature is different and unique. When I was watching the documentary, I did not have the sound on, so it was hard for me to learn about a specific animals’ behavior. During the film, I had to improvise and take some educated guesses as to what a certain creature is doing. I learned that nature can be brutal. In the documentary, a flock of sea gulls were invading an abandoned beach. At the same time the seagulls arrived, baby sea turtles were hatching out of their eggs. It was a clear day on the beach, and the sea gulls suddenly spotted the turtles making their way towards the ocean. Suddenly, multiple seagulls swooped down and grabbed almost all the turtles. Watching the footage, I could basically hear the crunch of the turtle in the seagulls’ mouth. I did not enjoy this scene of the documentary, in fact, I almost cried. I have a passionate love for sea turtles, and having to watch them be defenseless against seagulls was extremely upsetting. I feel bad for animals, like sea turtles, because they cannot control their destiny. Most sea turtles do not make it very far into the ocean because they are so defenseless, but other creatures and predators thrive on innocent animals. In the documentary, there were many scenes involving creatures eating other creatures, also known as cannibalism. I love to learn about ocean life and everything in it. Nature is so intriguing, and learning new things makes it even more interesting. This documentary with the sound on is very educational and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning about ocean life. There were many elements that I enjoyed such as; the suspension scene when it came to dolphins. This made the situation more intense. The only scene I did not enjoy was the part where sea gulls attacked sea turtles, that was very upsetting to me. Though it was hard to gain information without the sound of the documentary, I still mastered the skills on seeing details in creatures, making educated guesses when it comes to learning, and picturing different sounds in a certain situation. Overall, I gained knowledge with, or without the documentaries sound
