As a result, discrimination can cause undesirable stress responses that lead to negative health effects, both physical and mental. Within To Kill a Mockingbird, there were oodles of instances of discrimination from all different types of characters. Next, in history, especially black history, the major discrimination against black people spanned throughout many centuries, from slavery to segregation. After, in current society, we see the discrimination, while not as physical as in previous eras, still existent in racism, prejudice, sexism, and gender discrimination.
