Although the law protects against discrimination in the workforce, it is unable to protect individuals in everyday life. America has not yet reached its post-racial period. Individuals are discriminated against based on where their place of origin is. For example, a Puerto Rican man gains full American citizenship, but is still discriminated in his neighborhood. He can relocate to a different area, but cannot file a lawsuit against that specific individual. Racial discrimination in today’s society is more violent than it was in the past. Individuals are being harassed, manipulated, and even attacked because of their place or origin. People are very reluctant to tell the figures of higher authority about this such as a police officer because of fear. Discrimination can be seen in distinct areas. However, culturally ethnic workers are a grandiose part of workforces today. Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 makes workforces have set regulations prior to hiring any worker of ethnic cultures. Hence, making sure that the protection of the workers are a priority and making sure discrimination does not affect the workers. Workforces do not only help workers succeed, but they provide opportunities for promotions. Workers are also given various opportunities to receive employment from distinct organizations that primarily focus on helping culturally ethnic families. Multicultural Organizations provide families with resources in order to settle into anti-discriminatory workforces. Workforces are very strict when it comes to workers being discriminated against and take matters under the law. Many unions are formed to protect ethnic workers from harassment due to discrimination and location of origin. Some argue that workforces need to have strict regulations in order to diminish lawsuits, but workers do not accept each other so therefore leading to more discriminative tendencies.
