The study examined the cheating from the two different types that have been found to be most prevalent which is the emotional and sexual aspects. This finding has implications that evolution theorist would stand behind. The reason for men being more bothered by sexual infidelity is due to the uncertainty of paternity for potential children. The findings from this study also found that men were more bothered by the status or the prestige of the person that their partner cheated with. I think this could be due to men knowing that more prestige could possibly mean more wealth and more of a chance for the other male to take
