Four key components have served as pillars for the DeJong ranch from the beginning. After emitting christian values and working as a family operation, they believe producing quality cattle and continuously improving their herd - all through a multi trait selection process with use of innovative genetic improvement techniques- enhance the effectiveness of the DeJong Ranch and better reach the community. DeJong Ranch was the first in the area to embrace the technology of embryo transfer to advance their herd genetically. When artificial insemination was made available in the resident area, the DeJong’s jumped at the chance to utilize this technology. Most recently, the DeJong family has exercised in-vitro-fertilization (IVF). Over the past 60 years, the DeJong’s have been advertising and building their brand.
