2. I believe there are some flaws in America’s educational system. In one of my education courses, we discussed how the gaining of knowledge for a student depends on the location and area the student is in. For example, a school that is placed in an urban, low-income district might lack the necessities to and provide a proper education compared to a school in a wealthy community and opened to other resources. I believe the idea of this project was a good idea in hopes that it would help the family and it would provide a more efficient way for cooking. However, it took the family away from heat and from their source of light, like how a fire would provide. Before deciding exactly what equipment I would give to the families, I would have spoken to some of the families first and examined their living spaces and would ask what they needed the most. Heat for food and comfort and light would probably be one of their top answers. I would have known then that I would need something that would provide them with those things. I would have then ruled out the fuel-efficient stoves. Even though my budget would be limited, I would try to find a sufficient and efficient tool that would help decrease the amount of wood needed to cook and use for a heat
