From my perspective a friend is someone who cares about the other person or other friend. Friends are the people that care about you and care about what you do. They are always with you through ups and downs. Friends usually make life easier. A true friend cares about what you do, helps you solve problems, bring out the best in you and enjoys spending time with you. The saying ¨Thatś what friends are for¨ is somewhat true because you need your friend when it comes to life. They help you get through the worst times for example, failing a test or maybe just drama around. In Eighth grade, you need to work hard and not fall behind in your work because you will be applying to high schools and you need to pass all your classes in order to graduate. The first year of high school, 9th grade, is a year of analyzing people and their actions. Such as the decision of hanging out with the wrong people or right people. The freshman survival is focusing on your education and keeping up with your school work. An example is not failing classes, attending school everyday, asking questions, participating, etc. Although I am still learning the freshman survival. I think a great way to survive freshman year is by participating in extracurricular activities and being involved in your school. This helps you grow as a person, be more social and it makes it easier to interact with other students. If you fail in attending class everyday and keeping up with your school work it will be harder for senior year. A freshman survival could also be keeping up with your work and do not fail any classes because it will be much harder as you work your way up to Sophomore, Junior and Senior year. Basically, stay focused onto your work or else everything will pile up and become harder for Senior
