` As the percentage of traditional families in the United States has increased tremendously decade by decade since the 1960’s, I still happen to be a part of one of these family styles. I live with both my parents and two brothers named Derek and Mitch. However, families that may or may not be considered “traditional” all have some good and some not-so-good moments. The various characteristics a certain family possesses is what causes either conflict or bonding moments among a family. In mine, annoyingness is a bad characteristic, but the humor and supportiveness of my family bring us together.
Overall, I live with an amazing family, however there are some annoying moments that occur. Some of these moments are with my mom. I wouldn’t consider my mom to be an annoying person, it’s just annoying how seldom the two of us are ever in agreement with something. Most of the annoying moments go on with my youngest brother, Mitch. I feel that our five year age span and difference in personalities cause me to get annoyed by him so often. In my house right now, my dad is who tends to make the family laugh the most. A lot of what he jokes about is very corny, but it doesn’t matter to the rest of the family since he’s still able to somehow make us laugh. The greatest thing is that my dad is able to make jokes no matter whether the family is in an already upbeat, or even a dull or upset mood. His sense of humor can put, or keep the rest of the family in a good mood and that’s the best thing about it. However, a lot of the credit for my dad’s humor has to go to my grandpa on my dad’s side. He is also very funny and my dad and uncle were both able learn from him and are now both funny in a similar way.
