Although math is not my best subject, it has given me numerous skills that I can only hope to remember in the future. One of the more important skills would be critical thinking. The critical thinking skills that I have learned in math are quite useful and I really am grateful for learning them. I have also learned many mathematical concepts, such as linear systems, linear equations, and inequalities, linear equations in two variables algebraically, operations such as taking the opposite, finding the reciprocal, taking a root, and raising to a fractional power, dimensional analysis, monomials, polynomials, logarithms and so much more.
In science, I was able to learn many concepts and skills that I hope to carry with me throughout my high school experience. Some of the things that I learned in science include: data, graphing, analyzing results, how to identify the different types of lava, earthquakes and the way they are measured, physical properties of rocks and minerals, and the rock cycle. Although it may not be science, I am grateful to Mr. Welsh for allowing us to spend some time thinking about what we want to do with our lives and how to make job resumes, as well as teaching us what to expect in job …show more content…
We also studied the Industrial Revolution in England, France, Germany, Japan and in the United States, the effects of the Industrial Revolution in England, France, Germany, Japan, and the United States. Furthermore, we looked at New Imperialism in Africa, Southeast Asia, China, India, Latin America, and the Philippines, finally, we went over the relationship among the rise of industrialization, large-scale rural-to-urban migration, and massive immigration from southern and eastern Europe. Through all these topics that we went over, the one that caught my attention the most would have to the French Revolution. The French Revolution was my favorite topic because it was the first time something like that happened and in my opinion, it was the beginning of a new era.
I plan to continue my research by looking up the different cheese factories that had children working and find out more information about rocks and minerals and their physical properties. My plan to create my product is to go to Durham Furry and ask if I could milk a cow, then test my cheese recipe to make sure I do not accidentally poison the panel members. To keep my audience engaged, I will bring them in with an entertaining question. Afterward, during my presentation, I plan to have cheesy jokes that will keep the audience waiting for the
