The women in the Dakota tribe were responsible for their homes, they do the cleaning, cooking, and gathering wood. Moreover, the Dakota woman helped to build the family's house, also moving the heavy stuff while traveling is something that the woman in the Dakota tribe will do. Not to forget, the houses belonged to the women in the Dakota tribe. On the other hand, men in the Dakota tribe are most likely to be warriors and hunters, in charge of helping, feeding, defending the family from any danger that could happen including wars and animals attack. Most likely the man is going to be the chief or the leader of the Dakota tribe. Not to forget the children in the Dakota tribe. The children were normal, they play games with each other, go to the school, and help the house with anything the family needs. Although many Dakota children love to go fishing and hunting with their fathers. Obviously, back then many Dakota children had less time to do stuff, although they had toys and dolls to play with.
