Research Questions:
The researcher examined teaching styles of four university professors teaching math to future elementary school teachers. The researcher focused on constructivist teaching styles. Constructivist teaching style was described as a shift in traditional teaching methods. Students are encouraged to construct their own knowledge through social interactions and meaningful activities. The study had two primary research questions:
1) What instructional methods are used in math courses for preservice elementary teachers?
2) How consistent are those instruction methods with a constructivist theory of learning? …show more content…
