Firstly, corruption by power is often seen throughout history and today’s day and age. It is human nature to corrupt under power, the more some gets, the more they want. Many examples can be found, and can be related to Percy in the movie The Green Mile. Percy, being given a position of authority, gives him the confidence to stand over the prisoners and show his dominance.
