Literary Analysis Essay Romeo and Juliet, Othello, and Cleopatra and Anthony are a few of William Shakespeare's works that features “star-cross lover” tragedies and romantic love affairs. While William Shakespeare has created many famous works that are constantly read over and over and admired by thousands of people, these romantic tragedies do not have an impact on people’s perceptions of love, because even after the tragedy occurres, they still imagine how love is sacrifice, something important in a marriage, oppositional, and ultimately death. In the relationship between Cleopatra and Anthony, their love is so deep that they are able to sacrifice their own lives for each other. While Cleopatra, the queen and ruler of Egypt is one of the most beautiful woman in the world, as a woman of power and beauty, she is fierce, loving and passionate when in love with her mate. On Act 5, Scene 2 page 16 it states,
