In P.T.I. Junior and Rowdy have some conflict causing them to break up for a little bit as friends. Junior goes school on the reservation with Rowdy, but doesn’t like the school at all. Junior moves schools to a place where he can get a better education at. The thing is he goes to a school where all white rich people go to and Rowdy isn’t very happy about this. He calls Junior a traditor for what he has done. Junior gets in an argument talking to Rowdy after he moved schools and says, “Bang! Rowdy punched me.”(Alexie 52). Rowdy and Junior were no longer friends after he punched him, and it was pretty clear. Junior is much stronger that Junior so he didn’t do anything about it. This the complete opposite of Lennie and George 's relationship. There was numerous times when Lennie would do something bad or do something that would irritate George, but he wouldn’t do anything about it. He knew that he couldn’t afford to lose Lennie because that was all he’s got. An example would be when Lennie made George mad and he told him, “I was just foolin’, Lennie. ‘Cause I want you to stay with me”(Steinbeck 13). Even though Lennie would make George mad he still wouldn’t leave him.
