One strategy I observed that I think will be useful is creating a welcoming environment in my classroom by letting my students understand my expectations and conveying a positive attitude to my students. Another trick I want to use in my classroom is getting to know my students on a personal and academic level, so I can pay attention to how they are learning and when they need a gentle nudge in the right direction such as keeping them on track by inserting their names in the direction or using them in the examples.
