In those cases that were similar the attitudes of the accused was different. Many of the cases didn’t happen recently mostly in the year two thousand and sixteen. There were a few that happen in January. I believe the attitude of the accused had a lot to do with the outcome of the case. The first case I observe was Mr. Wallace Docket number three hundred and fifty one and race black. Gender is male age approximately twenty years old. He wasn’t in custody his charge was theft. Mr. Wallace was very calm and looked apologetic. He had his own lawyer and his lawyer spoke for him and stated how he felt. This cases went very quickly, the final verdict was dismissed with six months probation. Wallace smiled and hugged his lawyer out of gratitude. For the second case was Bianca Docket number one sixty five. Ms. Bianca was a no show. The judge did say her verdict for not showing up. Didn’t really get to hear his name they spoke quickly. John Doe is around twenty four years old and he is black. He was in custody for theft and services. He went in with a straight attitude every time his lawyer or the judge spoke he rolled his eyes. The final verdict was that he will be relieved if he paid two thousand dollars. When John Doe heard that he started to course and blame his lawyer. They removed him quickly out of the courtroom. Eighty percent of the people who had a charged were male. There was only one female. Most of them were still in the twenty expect Mr. O’Neil which was his first offence at the age of forty. In my opinion going to the courtroom showed me that the their is still some type of justice in the system. It also showed me that if you plead guilty there's a chance the sentence won’t be as harsh. This is the reason why in the cases I observe in the ninety minutes they all plead guilty. Overall I had a very pleasant visit to the courtroom. I did learn a lot and got to understand how the courtroom works. What really goes on is not as intense as i thought it would be. I believed there would be more drug related
