The first activity was an art craft, which focused on social- emotional, physical and cognitive development. Although the activity included all of those objectives the focus goal centered around social-emotional development. The activity will focus on emotions, and creativity. The materials needed to implement this activity will be card stock, crayons, and pictures of different emotions. The emotions will reflect happy, sad, angry, excited, and surprised. Lulu will be able to see pictures of different emotions. Lulu will watch me draw a big circle, then she will give it a try. Therefore, in this activity Lulu and I will talk about animals. Materials needed for this activity will be an animal book, that includes different animals. Construction paper and a pencil will also be needed. While doing this activity Lulu will be asked open ended questions similar to common animals, which animals are her favorite, and the number of animals. While I’m asking questions Lulu will be drawing her favorite animal on the construction paper. When she finishes her drawing we will then place the name of the animal on the paper. In this activity I will be observing her use of language when she expresses her thoughts. I also will be able to see if she understands complex language. Although when you think of language you also think of Literacy. In this activity I will also observe to see if she comprehends or responds to the book. The language and literacy skills lead me to cognitive development
