But just plan customer service isn’t what I strived for—I wanted to discover new solutions and solve difficult problems. Although my dream career of chemistry had ended, my interest in science and math had not. The biology class that I took my junior year had one underlying theme: Everything is connected. This, along with what we learned about plants and animals and genetics and ecology, really inspired me to look at the world in a new light. Not only could I work to serve and help others, but I could promote the importance of responsible fishing to ensure renewable resources for future generations, or I could help discover cures to disease people have been struggling with for years, or I could help a two-legged dog walk happily again and be reunited with a loving …show more content…
I toured for a day and came back inspired and ready to make a change at CSU. The fact that the students and faculty were truly able to reach out to me and influence me to make a difference in only a day shows the university’s amazing ability to inspire others throughout the world. I want to be a part of an institution that will leave a lasting impact on the world—and Colorado State University will allow me to make permanent, lasting connections with others that I can use to impact and influence future generations. I want to be able to inspire others with the same enthusiasm that the students and faculty at CSU displayed, and help them realize that they are not just a number, but instead a unique and valued individual that can make a difference in the world
