In act one when Bottom is with the mechanicals he shows character comedy. “An I may hide my face, let me play Thisby too…..Let me play the lion too/ I will roar, that I will do any man’s heart good to hear me…”(1.1. 45-67) This quote shows character comedy, because of how Bottom portrays the character on the stage. Through watching the play character comedy is shown when he over exaggerates his part.
