With no particular founder, the religion of Hinduism dates back to the people of the Indus River Valley over five-thousand years ago. The earliest record of Hindu gods, goddesses and beliefs dating back to about fourth century AD. The basic gods, or the holy trinity, are Brahma the creator, Vishnu the protecter and Mahesh the destroyer, all of whom which are still worshipped and considered the Hindu trinity gods to date. Though traditions and customs may have changed over the yeas the gods and goddesses and the way that they are worshiped has remained mostly the same throughout the years.

Also, Terra-cotta figures were used in the Indus Valley to represent the deities but that has vastly changed with modern deities made with material such as clay or stone. But when the decline of the Indus River Valley neared, the Aryans invaded and are said to be one of the main components in the formation of the religion that we know today. They are attributed to two main additions to the religion and those being the Sanskrit language, which most of the holy books were first written in, and also the Vedic religion. But during the 11th century when the Muslim Mahmud of Ghana invaded India,
