Ms. Xu ran a business mainly producing leather phone case in Shenzhen, China. She started the business in 2002 when luxury mobile phone started to get popular in China. The business scales from the design, the production process to the sales of the products. Ms. Xu employed about twenty workers to run the business. Apart from the leather phone case, other products like leather wallets and leather accessories are also sold in the store. In 2012, Ms. Xu put an end to the business while mobile phone had become an affordable goods to the mass.

Xu, she emphasized “innovation” for a several times. As the situation in East is different from that in Western, the cost breaking the intellectual property law was relatively low. As a result, producers need to be innovative all the time and fasten their paces in launching new products in order to fight against the fake products. This implies that to take special actions to protect one’s own business is of vital importance and would save one a lot of time.
There is one another thing I admire Ms. Xu that she is a persistent and self-confident woman. She has three kids going to primary school while she started the business. She needed to take care of her family and the business at the same time. While tons of things were under consideration at the very first beginning, such as the recruitment of the employee, the suppliers and the location of the store. Not to mention the failure is high to 90% in the first twelve months of a new business. She made it finally.
