People affected with the plague had swollen groins that started under their armpits and turned black , the swollen groins could grow as big as an apple and come shaped like an egg. People started to assume rats carried and passed the sickness on to others. The rats actually carried fleas and if a person was bit they’d catch the plague.Looking at the nap on Document A the plague crossed water and came onto land showing the plague had to be contagious because rats don’t swim in big bodies of oceans. They weren’t as sanitized and clean as we are modern day, they didn’t know about germs and what could happen if you cough on someone , so I’d say looking at the map it spread through those traveling on water and trade. …show more content…
Document 7 says that if the Jews were poor they wouldn’t have been killed but killing the Jews gave the council money to disrupt to working men and anything else they owned was canceled and collected. Killing the Jews didn’t stop the plague though, the plague itself killed 2 million
