Introduction
“Why do so many men and women find themselves struggling with the aftermath of failed relationships? Why, in short, are there so many broken-hearted people? And what can you do if you find yourself in a similar position, wondering how to pick up the pieces when an important part of your life, perhaps the most important part has collapsed?”

This research aims to interview and gather relevant information on moving on from broken-hearted people who were from long-term relationships. We all know that experiencing good love gone badly is painful (Vilhauer, 2015). And we, researchers, aim to know how broken-hearted people handle such situation. Furthermore, we want to explore how broken-hearted people pull themselves together though they feel as if they’ve been dashed to bits, how they get on with life when it seems to have ended and how they avoid wallowing in emotions when, despite their best efforts, they feel as if their drowning in sadness, confusion or rage (Koman, 1997). For Single People: This study will help them to understand more the concept of love in romantic relationships.
2. For Married Couples: This study aims to strengthen relationship of married couples and enable them to learn and be aware of certain things that might ruin their relationship.
3. For Separated Individuals: This study will embolden separated individuals to move on and look forward to a brighter future.
4. For Heartbroken Individuals: This study aims to serve as an inspiration and motivation for them to build a stronger relationship.
Definition of Terms
Terms here are operationally defined for better understanding of the readers.
1. Broken-hearted - A person experiencing extreme sadness and/or depression caused by being hurt by his/her loved one.
2. Lived experiences – These are certain events that happened in a person's life.
3. Long-term relationship - A relationship that lasted for three years or more.
4. Moving on – This is the process of getting over something or someone.
5. “Hugot” – These are statements that are sentimental and usually come from deep within broken-hearted people.
6. Rebound –This is using another person or relationship to move on from past relationship.
7. Simulacrum – An illustration that represents the findings the research
