With the rising number of uninsured Americans today, seeking medical assistance becomes a burden due to the high cost of service. There are many individuals living in pain, not only physically, but emotionally as well, because of the fear of going to the doctor and being faced with a large bill they can 't afford. When a system like this is in place, and available, people are more conscious about their health and lifestyle – they want to stay healthy and live longer. When freedom of choice is an option, people are more likely to seek the medical attention they need in a timely manner, as opposed to waiting for approval from their insurance.
