Being a Vet Tech does not limit you to clinics. You could work in laboratories, an emergency animal hospital, zoos, and even your local animal shelter. Being a vet tech can be emotionally and physically exhausting. It can be emotionally exhausting due to seeing the abuse, sick, injured, and unwanted animals. When it comes to physically draining, there can be a lot of responsibilities such as, long hours, heavy lifting, being on your feet for long periods of time, and constantly running from place to place to meet the demands of your job. Different places of employment have different hours for you to work. Some places are open 24 hours a day, holidays, and weekends. This means you may have to work during these times.
