Cars are expensive items and become more expensive as they grow older, especially when it is 19 years old with 296,000 miles on it like mine. As vehicles get older and rack up more miles, they tend to start to wear out and become costly to repair quite frequently. Most of my money from my paycheck every 2 weeks goes into repairing my vehicle because I feel as if there is always something wrong with it. As an adult deciphering between keeping my current vehicle and getting a new vehicle is a tough decision. I have thought about it tons, sure we all want a new car, but we have to be practical in our decision making as an adult. The way I see it, I would rather fix and repair my car than have a car payment every single month for 3-5 years. Adulthood has many pros and cons. We experience more freedom as adults, but we have to manage those freedoms and counteract them with responsibilities. As an adult I have much more freedom, my parents used to be really strict, I would have to be home by 10 on weekends, and 8 on weekdays, I never was able to stay the night at friends' houses, Now that I am 18 they don't care when I come home or where I stay, as long as they know where I am at and I communicate with …show more content…
I do a lot around my house, I manicure the lawn, take care of the landscaping, clean house, and much more. I sometimes feel obligated to do some of the things around the house because my dad works the night shift at Frito Lay and often works 7 days a week because they are short on people, so therefore he sleeps during the day and I feel bad when he has to stay awake to mow the lawn or take care of the landscaping.. My mom works at Propane Central and has a very stressful job and all she wants to do when she is off work is come home and relax so I enjoy cleaning the house and doing dishes and chores so that she doesn't have to. I also live next door to my grandparents, they are getting older so I help out as much as I can with yard work, their gigantic garden and little odds and ends around the house. My grandpa has 7 cows so I like to help him out by taking care of the cattle when I can. All in all, adulthood can be very fun if you make the best of it and are responsible in the decisions you make. I can't wait to see where adulthood takes me. Who knows I could end up somewhere completely unexpected doing something I never would've dreamt
