1.1 Definition of Leadership
A leader is someone who has managerial authority. Leaders lead his/her team towards achieving the organization’s goals through motivation and etc. There are a few types of leadership such as autocratic, democratic and laissez-faire.
An autocratic leadership is a centralized authority where only the leader makes the decision with low participation of employees. A democratic leadership style is when there is involvement of employees regarding decision-making and etc. A laissez-faire leadership style is where all of the rights and power to make decisions is fully given to the employees.

The needs that may not be satisfied in this case will be the self-esteem and self-actualization needs. Self-esteem needs are the desire to gain recognition and appreciation for good performance and getting a promotion. This may be hard to be satisfied because in an autocratic leadership style, an employee does not have a chance to show their capability because the leader is the only decision maker. So, it is hard for them to get a promotion, as no one knows what they can do. Apart from that, self-actualization needs are the needs relate to the desire for psychological development and growth to realize one’s full potential as a human being. DOES WOMEN MAKE BETTER LEADERS THAN MEN
We usually see a man that leads well-known companies nowadays. That is why I think a man makes better leaders compared to women. The reasons are as follows:
4.1 Men have fewer commitments
Men married or not still have fewer commitments compared to women. In general, women have a responsibility to family and work. So it may be difficult for women to focus on their job as a leader because they have limited time on work compared to men.
4.2 Men are less emotional
We can never deny that women cannot control their emotional feelings. This will make them hard to focus on their job when they are feeling down or depressed. As for men, they know how to set aside their feelings and not let personal mix with work.
4.3 Men are more independent
Men are more likely more independent compared to women. Prove to this is a women cannot go somewhere alone; they must need someone to accompany them everywhere they go. This is especially if they are meeting a new person. Sometimes, other person feels uncomfortable to talk about business when someone else is in the room.
