The value of incorporating cultural awareness in the education of health professionals will provide a better understanding of health disparities associated with various cultures. Health professionals that are culturally aware are better equip to handle chronic conditions among population of mixed races. Medical facilities and providers that are culturally aware are empowered to identify and establish effective preventive programs that reduce chronic disease and mortality in special populations that are at risk. As mentioned before, social media is part of over half the lives of 62 percent of American adults (Duggan, 2015). The use of Twitter, Facebook, and E-Health have opened the possibility of endless medical information sharing and collaboration. The United States is leading the way in regards to the use of high-tech medical procedures and medical equipment to include MRI and CT as well as high-risk procedures such as catheterization, angioplasties, and heart bypass surgeries (Shi & Singh, 2013, p. 111). In the end, the cultural beliefs and values of American patients will continue to push advancement of technology and the use of the internet to deliver high quality health care
