Paul did not do his ministry single handedly, he had many “associates” that helped him throughout his journey do the teaching and minister to the people (Agosto, Efrain). Paul believed in unity and peace, and hated conflict in the world. In 1 Timothy, “Paul exhorts Christians to pray for all in positions of authority” (The Politics of Paul the Apostle). Paul set the standard for keeping tensions low in the political realm, although in today’s world this does not work too well. “The politics of Paul consisted in his attempt to establish a network of relations that jeopardized the social structures of empire” (Mackenzie, Ed). Paul did not like how one elite group ruled the whole empire, he wanted more of a democracy. Paul felt that the law should be run by God’s laws, "A man is not justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ" (Paul the Apostle).
