The five practices of exemplary leaders is a list of characteristics that can influence effective leadership (Griffith & Dunham, 2015). These characteristics were rooted and founded on research data that included over 3 million leaders over the course of 30 years (Griffith & Dunham, 2015). Exemplary leaders have the ability to display characteristics such as model the way, inspire a shared vision, challenge the process, enable other to act, and encourage the heart (Griffith & Dunham, 2015).
