These six observation that Van Duzer makes creates the purpose of why God made us, and how we are suppose to serve God on earth. Van Duzer acknowledges that our first calling to to Glorify God, but Van Duzer goes on to say that we all have a more specific calling that we need to answer to. He says, “we reflect God’s glory through nurturing our relationships with God and with one another…But we also glorify God by engaging in the work we have been called to undertake…” (pg. 38) I agree with Van Duzer on this point that our work can be used to glorify God. God has given each one of us specific talents and passions, and by fulfilling those talents and passion we are Glorifying God. Van Duzer goes on to tell us that in business our purpose is to serve, we should practice business that is sustainable, and we should support one another.
