I used to go to a private Armenian school and over there everything was much different from a public school. I attended both and noticed a great difference between them. I feel like I had more time to talk to teachers and interact with them at the private school. Then I also noticed that in a public school the education that people received was based off a more general idea. Nothing go very deep into conversations and it made me feel like we were being held back from so much. Then after a semester in public school then went to my honors and AP classes I felt more familiar with the teaching way. They got more into detail and were challenged again like I was in private school. Overall there is a big difference in our educational system depending on the place you go and who teaches there. Basing that off the teacher who had my senior year for AP English because she could have taught at a better school and would be very successful I enjoyed everything that she taught me and was able to apply a lot of her techniques till now. Then there were teachers in my private school that I wondered how the hell these people got this job and then I think Armenian… Connections. The first is functionalist who see it was that we need people who can’t be doctors or lawyers so we can have them do other jobs so that our community can function better. Its like of people aren’t plumbers or electricians then we can’t make house or fix issues that happen with them. So there is a need for people that can do well in that job skill to help the community to function on a better base. Functionalist see that as there is more diversity there is more competition for people to do there best to show who’s better as a unit and as an individuals. Functionalist see that the U.S. system for education has everything set specifically so that what ever is done to students they are able to function and better help develop a community. There is also the fact of religion has a role on the way people live and the way they study based of there religion. Then there are the Conflict Theorist perspectives that say people that should be trained to do jobs that are required for the community. They also support the idea that all people need to work. Conflict theorists also think that they need to reproduce the idea of inequality for schools. They support the idea of tracking student process and making sure everything so that the elite students will be able to learn and do better while the ones who can’t just start working and helping with everything else. Then finally there is the interactionist perspective.
