After the end of to Cold War, the United States started creating alliances with many other countries, which helps to expand our foreign relations and allows us to use our powers to those in need.
With the new foreign policy and our new-found power, our economy also starts to improve. Because we are on such good terms and relations with many countries, it helps the economy to expand and grow as we start international relationships overseas. When this shift occurred from having America in total isolation to having America acting as a world leader, we rose into power to break the bipolar system in place in the world, creating a multipolar system.
