Now cognitive-behavioral therapy has been regarded as the most effective psychotherapeutic treatment for agoraphobia. This is done by using the approach of exposure therapy which repeatedly exposes them to their feared location or situation and the patient gradually learns that they are not in any danger and all of their anxiety symptoms go away. Yet, some physician have and may recommend an alternative form of treatment for the anxiety symptoms associated with agoraphobia such as giving up their coffee or tea if they drink it because the caffeine in these drinks can be a huge contributor to their ongoing panic symptoms.
