Adolph Hitler and Joseph Stalin had many similarities from the 1920’s through the late 1940’s, but disliked each other intensely due to their differing political ideologies. Hitler belonged to the Nationalist Party while Stalin imposed a Communist regime. Hitler and Stalin were both incredibly popular in their country and they initiated many changes. Eventually, their hidden agendas came to light, and they were both seen with extreme hatred. (Meinecke, Zapruder and Kaiser)

Hitler considered himself as a savior of the superior race. Hitler insisted that all races, groups or people carried traits which they would pass on from one generation to the next, also he believed that no one could ignore the qualities of their race. In Hitler’s views, the racial groups were divided; the gifted had traits such as: integrity, intelligence and beauty whereas, the others were flawed by nature and considered devious, stupid, or ugly. He was convinced that survival of the superior race must separate itself from the races with more undesirable traits and also dominate those with a desire to overtake or threaten the superior race. (Meinecke, Zapruder and Kaiser) Stalin on the other hand, was considered a communist. I have heard of his form of communism being called Stalinism, which includes the government ruling public and private aspects of citizen’s lives.
