It will focus on statistical facts, including a cost analysis; CLABSI rates within and outside the organization; morbidity and mortality rates; evidence-based (EB) literature to support the ADC proposal; and how the proposal aligns with the organization’s mission and core values (Marshcall et al., 2014). Similarly, a second formal proposal presentation will be presented to the nursing directors and nursing leaders and managers and will concentrate on EB research; the statistical information listed above; and also how CLABSIs and the new proposal impacts nursing (Marschcall et al., 2014). The implementation process will be overseen by the multi-disciplinary team created for the proposal, which will include educators, CLASBI clinical experts, champions/super-users, formal and informal leaders, and frontline staff. First, education will need to be provided to all the nursing staff and other front-line workers. This can be done through the online learning module system (LMS), a situation, background, assessment, and recommendation (SBAR) email and handout, notifications in the weekly ‘Need to Know’ emails, in-services, handouts, and posters that will be placed throughout the nursing care units and inside patient rooms (Marschall et al., 2014). The LMS module will include a pre and post-test and will discuss CLABSIs as well as the new standardized care and maintenance bundle with ADCs. The current policy will be updated, but will not go into effect until after the trial period, when the organization decides whether to accept or reject the new
