For example, when the teenage boy,also known as Sammy, was working at A&P he could not focus when the girls were around. He was more interested in the bold statement they made than his own job. Because of this, when the girls were kicked out by making a bold statement, he went after them without thinking. The story was impacted greatly by point of view. If another was telling the story, it would a lot different. Because the story is told by Sammy, the girls coming into the store were seen as a good thing; going against society can be a positive thing. Without people going against society, trends would never be born. In society, it is okay sometimes to stand out, create change. Our country grows by involving. The 1950s are different from now. Sammy telling the story allowed the reader to understand the reaction of the bold statement made by three young
