Rose is in denial and refuses that to acknowledge that the family, the dream she had is falling apart. When Troy confesses that he cheated on her she finally burst. she says “took all my feelings, my wants and needs, my dreams...and I buried them inside you. I planted a seed and waited and prayed over it" (Wilson 122).Rose finally shares her feelings and confesses that she placed all her hopes and dreams on Troy. That all the goals she had were tossed aside just to be with Troy. she finally realizes that Troy has betrayed her trust, and has impregnated another woman.
