ABSTRACT
The engineers have been leading the path to the where enemy sleeps, eat, and train for the longest time since revolutionary war and today war against terror. 307th engineer battalion is the best engineer battalion in our Army. Maybe for some, it’s hard to believe because they don’t understand the history. The battalion has been through numerous deployment to World War I, World War II, Armed forces expeditions, South west Asia, and the War on terrorism. Throughout these operations, numerous lives being lost, but the battalion always knew how to save the day so everyone can sleep safely.
On 1917 August 5, battalion was constituted in the national army as the 307th engineers and assigned to the 82nd infantry division and a few weeks later, battalion was organized in Fort Gordon, Georgia. During World War I the battalion was participating in one of first American offensive war St. Mihiel. Battalion participated fire fight with German enemy forces in a valley of Meuse Argonne and during this operation battalion earned the motto “I main the right!” when the battalion maneuvered and flanked their unit to protect the 82nd infantry division from German Forces. Battalion was demobilized and placed as reserve status at Fort Dix in May of 1919 after returning from Europe. On March 1942 battalion was ordered to be active status and service at Camp Claiborne, Louisiana as part of the 82nd infantry division. Later the same year in a month of August, unit was designated the 307th engineer battalion of the 82nd Airborne Infantry Division becoming the first Airborne Engineers in the history and they called them the “All American
