Provide one example in real life where the principles of the Stroop Effect may impact your processing speed/accuracy (3-4 sentences): The relevancy of the Stroop Effect to understand the sensation will better assist on how we see the information and perception is how we perceive it to be such as the word “red”, but it is written in green, we automatically say red because that is how our brain function on the word and not the color. Our mind is set up to function a certain way so when we see something different with our eyes, the process becomes difficult to process. Imagine you are going to the grocery store and you made a list of all the items you need to get. Once you get to the store, you focus your attention on your shopping list. If you had not prepared a list like I would do sometimes, I would be wandering down each aisle putting unnecessary items in my basket and taking my attention off the mission I was supposed to be doing. Preparing a list helps you get in and out and keeps your focus on the items you came for and will help you save money. This is one example of how the Stroop effect will help with the process of grocery
